Text Message Reminder - if we hold your mobile number on our records, we will send you a text reminder with your appointment details. If you wish to check the number held, amend the details or opt out of this service please call 01788 552211

We open up our appointments every day at 8am, this is for urgent on the day and pre-bookable appointments (with a GP of your choice) which are bookable 2 days, 1, 2 and 4 weeks in advance.  All pre-bookable appointment can also be booked on-line.  We urge all our patients to try to book an appointment as close to 8am as possible.

Routine Appointments

Tel: 01788 552211

Patients can make a routine appointment with a Doctor in advance in person, by telephone or online. To access online booking follow the link on our homepage. Please note that once you have booked your appointment online you will need to refresh your browser to confirm that the appointment has been booked for you

If a patient has a medically urgent need to be seen on the day, they will be asked to attend for a 'sit and wait' appointment.

For a new problem, you will be offered an appointment with a Primary Care Practitioner (a specialist practice nurse with extra training and experience) who are all independent practitioners and can prescribe.

Some appointments are available from 7:00am in the morning and some on a Saturday morning. These appointments should wherever possible be requested when you require an early morning or weekend appointment due to say work commitments or those who find it difficult to attend during the day. Please see below for further information.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, will you let us know as soon as possible by calling the Cancellation Line Answerphone on 01788 552211 and pressing option 1 or by clicking on the "let us know if you want to cancel your appointment" box on our home page and following the instructions.

Patients, who continually fail to attend appointments they have made, may be removed from the list.

Please note that we have limited spaces in our car park, which is often busy. We suggest therefore that you arrive in plenty of time to allow for parking and checking in.

Urgent Appointments Tel: 01788 552211

For any problem that cannot wait for the next available routine appointment and needs to be dealt with on the same day, the receptionist will offer you a 'sit and wait' appointment. These appointments are for medically urgent problems only.

If all appointments are taken and you need to urgently see a GP, we offer a Duty Doctor service.  The Duty Doctor/PCP may be able to deal with your problem over the telephone either by giving advice or by issuing an appropriate prescription, with your agreement. The prescription will be available for you to collect after 12 noon, where discussion is held in the morning or after 16:00 hrs when an afternoon call is made. However, please note, as these appointments are not pre-bookable and dependent upon demand you may have to wait some time for a call back (this can be to a number of your choice).

  • If it is felt that you need to be seen, the Duty doctor/PCP will allocate you an appointment.
  • Depending upon availability this may not necessarily be with your regular doctor

Our receptionists are usually the first point of contact and are here to help you. They have a lot of information to hand and in most cases will be able to help with your enquiry, ensuring you see the most appropriate clinician. Nonetheless, it is your right to request to talk only to the doctor. Anything that is discussed with the receptionists or any other member of the team is treated in strict confidence. You have a right to be treated courteously, and our receptionists also have a right to be treated courteously by you. Please respect the privacy of other patients by standing well back from the reception desk until your turn.
