Online Access to Your GP / Booking An Appointment

You don’t have to join the morning rush to reach your GP.

By clicking on this link: use accuRx

you will be taken to a set of questions you need to complete.  If it is an appointment you feel you need please click on the ‘medical request’ option.

It’s fast, secure and your request is delivered straight to our team.

By completing the online request you will:

  • Avoid queues
  • A healthcare professional will assess your request as soon as possible
  • Be given fair and equal access to care

All requests will be reviewed by a GP.  If they feel an appointment is needed you will be offered the most appropriate appointment – this may be with a GP or another healthcare professional.

Please note, if the GP reviewing your request feels you need to be seen on the day you will be offered an appointment for the same day.  Please make sure you are available to be contacted and can attend the surgery because this may be at short notice.  Someone will call you direct with an appointment time, if you miss the call we will try again.  After calling you twice we will leave you a message to ask you to submit a new form and follow the process again: use accuRx

On some occasions, your clinician may ask for a chaperone to be present during an examination.

Home Visits

Home Visits are only available for those that are housebound, terminally ill and those that are physically unable to attend the surgery due to illness.

Where you do not believe that you can physically attend the surgery due to an illness, a visit can be requested. Please try to request visits by calling the surgery on 01788 552211 before 10:30 or filling in the online request via ‘Appointments’ tab so that the duty doctor can plan visits with the other doctors.

A clinician will call you back and will arrange a home visit after discussion with you. Any request for a visit after 10.30 should only be for urgent problems.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.
