ANP or Paramedic working in General Practice
Job summary
We are looking for an Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner, on a permanent basis, to do 24 hours per week on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (8 hours a day – days are non-negotiable). You will be based at Clifton Road Surgery, situated within the centre of Rugby. We are a large and forward looking training practice responsible for approximately 15,000 patients.
Main duties of the job
We invite applications from suitably qualified Practitioners with skills to clinically assess, diagnose, refer and manage patients with a range of conditions. The ability to work independently and to demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process is required and to take lead responsibility for the care of patients as well as working as part of a team.
All our appointments are clinically triaged, ensuring our patients see the right clinician at the right time. All our Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner appointments are 10 minutes in length as the patient presenting will have one single acute issue. Results and Admin time are protected, together with access to a regular two weekly mentor time with a dedicated GP.
The Practice uses Emis Web and training will be available for the successful candidate if required.
Overview of Clifton road Surgery (CRS)
We are a large high achieving practice responsible for approximately 15,000 patients. Our team consists of 3 Partner GPs, 1 non-clinical Partner, 5 salaried GPs, primary care practitioners, practice nurses, HCAs, plus a full team of admin support. We are part of Rugby Health PCN with ARRS staff embedded in practice. We are also an established training practice for GPST and have a strong training and mentoring ethos at the practice. We are a high QOF achieving practice and have a good reputation within Rugby.
We pride ourselves on offering a high standard of patient centred care to our community despite the challenges primary care currently faces. However, we also appreciate the need to manage work-load, maintain a good work life balance and support our team.
